Welcome to Talkbase Publish

Talkbase Publish is a simple publishing platform designed for writers, entrepreneurs, and small businesses. This guide walks you through the essential first steps.

1. Create Your Account

Visit the landing page and click Get Started. Enter your email address and create a password. You'll receive a confirmation email — click the link to verify your account before signing in.

2. Set Up Your Blog Page Name

Once signed in, navigate to Settings from the Dashboard sidebar. Under the Blog Page Name tab, enter a unique page name (slug). This becomes your public blog URL:

blogs.talkbase.online/your-page-name

Page names must be 3–50 characters, lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens only. Each page name is unique across all accounts.

3. Add a Public Display Name

Below the page name field, you'll see a Public Display Name input. This is the name shown in the header of your public blog page. If left empty, it falls back to your page name.

4. Write Your First Post

Click New Post from the Dashboard. You'll see a clean editor with:

  • A title field at the top

  • An optional subheading

  • A content area with Rich Text and Markdown editing modes

5. Publish

Toggle Publish immediately in the right sidebar and click Publish. Your post is now live on your public blog page!

Tip: You need an active subscription to publish your blog homepage. Free accounts can create and save drafts.
